Beau Pre Country Club

Beau Pre’ (“beautiful meadow”) has preserved the natural setting and features a dramatic ninety-foot sheer clay bluff, deep ravines, abundant wildlife and rolling terrain.

ABOUT

Back in 1998 a group of founding members enlisted the services of course architect Mike Young to design and route their new Club. What he created was a perfect blend of nature’s bliss and the challenge of the game. The course is set on rolling hills and features a variety of water hazards and bunkers. The greens are also undulating and can be difficult to putt on. Despite its challenges, Beau Pré Country Club is a fair course that rewards good play. The course is well-maintained, and the greens are always in good condition.

We are a member-owned Club that welcomes unaccompanied play from guests that reside outside the counties and parishes of Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, Wilkinson and Concordia. Beau Pre welcomes unaccompanied play from guest that reside locally, limited to five rounds a year.

1st Hole – Par 4 “Courant Sec”

Tough opener. A right-center drive in this wide fairway gives the best angle to a small green
guarded by a bunker, lateral hazards and OB. Par is a well-earned score at the 1st hole.
440 Yards – Black
415 Yards – Blue
393 Yards – White
360 Yards – Gold
Handicap 3

2nd Hole – Par 4 “Gauche ẚ Droite”

Slightly uphill hole shaped left to right. A left-center tee shot with driver or 3 wood is the ticket.
Try to keep your short iron approach below the hole or face a slick, tricky putt on this green.
390 Yards – Black
377 Yards – Blue
349 Yards – White
283 Yards – Gold
Handicap 15

3rd Hole – Par 4 “Dessiner”

Challenging slight dogleg left. Finding the fairway here is at a premium with red stakes flanking both sides.
Green complex allows a safe bail right with left and short well-guarded. Par is a fine score at the third.
434 Yards – Black
384 Yards – Blue
350 Yards – White
299 Yards – Gold
Handicap 1

4th Hole – Par 3 “Facile”

Appealing Par 3 nestled next to a pond short and left. The green is the largest on
the course. Keep it below the hole for a good look at birdie.
178 Yards – Black
165 Yards – Blue
125 Yards – White
104 Yards – Gold
Handicap 17

5th Hole – Par 5 “Longue”

Longest hole at Beau Pré CC. Keep it in the fairway here off the tee. Navigate around the two
massive fairway bunkers to yield a short approach to a shallow, elevated and slopy putting
surface.
582 Yards – Black
541 Yards – Blue
527 Yards – White
471 Yards – Gold
Handicap 9

6th Hole – Par 4 “En Descendant”

A beautiful little downhill Par 4. Take driver or 3 wood right down the chute. Your approach shot is to a
striking, picturesque green complex that is difficult to read for most players. Short of the green here is a sin.
415 Yards – Black
374 Yards – Blue
362 Yards – White
326 Yards – Gold
Handicap 13

7th Hole – Par 3 “Précis”

Proves a tough Par 3 from the Blue or Black tee. Elevated, shallow green demands you choose
the right club. Slightly long is a better option than short which is riddled with trouble.
192 Yards – Black
179 Yards – Blue
132 Yards – White
100 Yards – Gold
Handicap 11

8th Hole – Par 5 “Lac Serein”

Challenge the left side of fairway to get home in two at the 8th. Players laying up should

558 Yards – Black
532 Yards – Blue
510 Yards – White
432 Yards – Gold
Handicap 7

9th Hole – Par 4 “Contre le Vent”

9th.
431 Yards – Black
410 Yards – Blue
387 Yards – White
359 Yards – Gold
Handicap 5

10th Hole – Par 5 “Trois Coups”

A three shot hole. Fairway runs out about 240 – 250 yards from the back tee. Avoid the fairway
bunkers on your second shot to setup a wedge shot approach to a deep green divided by a spine.
540 Yards – Black
528 Yards – Blue
516 Yards – White
421 Yards – Gold
Handicap 6

11th Hole – Par 4 “Tombe de Sable”

Choose your strategy on your tee shot. The goal is to avoid the massive fairway bunker in the middle of the fairway. Approach is to a green long & diagonal to the line of play. The 11th gives many players fits.387 Yards – Black
377 Yards – Blue
343 Yards – White
302 Yards – Gold
Handicap 4

12th Hole – Par 4 “Tentant”

Picturesque, short, risk-reward par 4. Take a driver or 3 wood to go for it. The conservative
play is a layup that avoids the fairway bunkers and attack the flag with a wedge shot.
318 Yards – Black
290 Yards – Blue
266 Yards – White
240 Yards – Gold
Handicap 14

13th Hole – Par 3 “Montée”

Nice looking hole running parallel to the mighty Second Creek. Avoid missing right in the creek
or short in the bunker. Putting surface reflects some major undulation that yields a few 3
putts.
179 Yards – Black
170 Yards – Blue
165 Yards – White
98 Yards – Gold
Handicap 8

14th Hole – Par 4 “Exigeant”

Toughest test at Beau Pré CC . Elevated fairway calls for a left to right tee shot toward the towering Red
Oak thru the fairway. Small, elevated green demands precision with trouble surrounding it. Good luck!
453 Yards – Black
411 Yards – Blue
374 Yards – White
297 Yards – Gold
Handicap 2

15th Hole – Par 4 “Trou Cape”

Beautiful right-bending cape hole from an elevated tee. Keep your tee shot short of Allen’s Pot Bunker. The green has a high point in the middle that makes it tough to stick your approach. Still, many birdies here.350 Yards – Black
319 Yards – Blue
284 Yards – White
248 Yards – Gold
Handicap 12

16th Hole – Par 3 “Soit Prudent”

Beau Pré signature hole that proves a tough test. Green situated on a peninsula with hazard
guarding it left, long and right. Take caution with certain hole locations. Small misses are
amplified at the 16th.
